Active illumination and exposure control for robust low-light robot vision
NightHawk combines active illumination with exposure control to improve image utility in dim, reflective culverts. The system adapts light intensity and exposure online and was fielded on Erie Canal inspections to strengthen feature detection and matching under difficult lighting.
