Abstract
This project aims to develop an inexpensive and reliable autonomous UAV in compliance with the SUAS 2019 competition in order to complete the challenges in the same. The fully custom-built UAV has long range data and medium range media telemetry, a payload carrying capacity of 3 KG, an onboard vision system and features a static obstacle avoidance method. The system utilizes open-source autopilot (software and hardware). Rigorous testing hows reliable operational capabilities in accordance to the rules of the competition.
